The Studio Workflow

How Your Bridal Collection Comes to Life

Whether you're launching your first private label line or scaling a made-to-order brand, our bridal sourcing studio manages every step -- from fabric swatch selection to retail-ready samples. No factory chaos. No lost-in-translation moments.

01

Discovery & Consultation

Share your sketches, mood board, or rough idea. Kimmy reviews construction feasibility, identifies supply chain risks, and gives you an honest roadmap -- before you spend a single dollar.

02

Bridal Fabric Sourcing

We tap our exclusive network of premium mills for high-end bridal lace, silk satin, and tulle -- with no MOQ. A curated bridal fabric swatch book is prepared for your approval before anything is cut.

03

Tech Pack & Pattern Making

Your sketch becomes a precise technical document -- a full tech pack with construction specs, grading rules, and material callouts. Our master pattern makers then translate it into a first prototype using Vera Wang-grade standards.

04

Sample Review & Small Batch

You receive the prototype with a detailed QC report. We refine until it's perfect -- then move into ethical small batch manufacturing (from as few as 5 pieces) with zero compromise on finish.

Behind the Scenes

What Actually Happens at Each Stage

Most bridal sourcing agents hand you a factory contact and disappear. We stay with you through every decision -- because that's what 20 years of high-end bridal supply chain experience is for.

1

Discovery & Initial Consultation

This is where most designers get burned -- they jump straight to production without validating their design against real-world manufacturing constraints. We prevent that. Kimmy personally reviews your sketches, references, and brand positioning to map a clear, risk-free path forward.

If you don't have a tech pack yet, don't worry -- that's exactly what we build together. We translate your creative language into the precise factory language that ensures zero misinterpretation on the production floor.

  • Technical feasibility & construction risk assessment
  • NDA signing to protect your IP from day one
  • Preliminary cost & timeline estimate

2

Bridal Fabric Sourcing -- No MOQ

As your dedicated fabric sourcing agent for designers, we access mills that most indie brands could never reach independently. Think French-style Chantilly lace, ultra-fine silk organza, and heavy duchess satin -- available in small yardage because we've built these relationships over two decades.

Every candidate fabric is evaluated for hand-feel, drape, colorfastness, and suitability for your specific construction. A bridal fabric swatch book is curated and shipped to you for tactile approval before we commit to any material.

  • High-end bridal lace, tulle & silk satin -- no MOQ
  • Eco-friendly and ethically sourced options available
  • Specialty beading, appliqué & embellishment trims
3

Tech Pack Creation & Pattern Making

This is the most underestimated step in wedding dress development -- and the most common cause of failed samples. Our master pattern makers have produced technical packs for major American bridal labels. They know the difference between a sketch that looks beautiful and one that can actually be sewn to a consistent standard.

Your wedding dress tech pack includes full construction specifications, seam allowances, boning placements, lining details, grading rules, and material callouts -- everything a factory needs to execute your design flawlessly the first time.

Quality Control

The 7-Stage QC System That Protects Your Brand

When you're selling wedding dresses at $1,500-$3,000 a piece, a single quality failure can destroy your brand's reputation. Our small batch wedding dress manufacturing process is built around the same production standards we developed for Vera Wang and David's Bridal -- now made accessible for indie designers with no massive MOQs.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I own the IP for designs I develop with you?

Absolutely. You retain 100% ownership of your designs, patterns, and tech packs. We sign a mutual NDA before any creative work begins. Your IP is never shared with other clients or factory partners without your written consent.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for fabric sourcing?

There is no minimum order quantity for our bridal fabric sourcing service. Whether you need 3 meters of high-end French-style lace for a sample or 300 meters for a seasonal run, we can accommodate. This is specifically why indie designers and small bridal brands work with us -- we've negotiated small-yardage access with our mill partners so you don't have to.

I don't have a tech pack -- can you still help me?

Yes, this is one of our most requested services. Many of our clients come to us with only a sketch or a Pinterest mood board. We build the full wedding dress tech pack from scratch -- including technical flats, construction specs, material callouts, and grading rules. Think of it as translating your creative vision into the precise factory language that guarantees accurate results.

What is the minimum for small batch production?

Our small batch wedding dress manufacturing starts from as few as 5 pieces per style. This is ideal for made-to-order brands, boutique private label lines, or designers testing a new silhouette before committing to a larger run. Each batch goes through our full 7-stage QC process regardless of quantity.

How do I know my sample will actually look like my design?

This is the core reason Kimmy exists. Every project includes a detailed tech pack, approved fabric swatches, and a pre-production sample (PPD) review before a single meter of your final fabric is cut. You receive weekly photo updates and have direct communication with Kimmy -- not a factory floor manager -- throughout the entire process.
